Nikki Cross drops the 24/7 Title near a trash can, I.C. Title match for World Cup winner, Belair runs into Ripley, Gargano-Miz story unfolds

Damage CTRL (Bayley, IYO SKY & Dakota Kai) accompanied their WarGames partner Nikki Cross to the ring for her 24/7 Title match against Dana Brooke. Nikki bested Brooke to become champion and as they were walking backstage, Cross dropped the title near a trash can.

Following a backstage promo from The Judgment Day (Finn Balor, Damian Priest, Rhea Ripley & Dominik Mysterio), Ripley ran into Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair.

Next week on Friday Night SmackDown, the WWE World Cup tournament will kick off. The winner is getting a shot at GUNTHER’s Intercontinental Championship.

The ongoing storyline involving The Miz, Johnny Gargano and Dexter Lumis continued. Miz stated that he met with a ‘Hollywood producer’ and it was later revealed by Gargano that the ‘producer’ was a private investigator. Miz admitted on-camera that he and Dexter Lumis coordinated the attacks and he was paying Lumis to ambush him. Miz stopped paying Lumis and is now really being ambushed by him.

Gargano and Miz went one-on-one and Miz got the win after he pretended someone was pulling him under the ring. He grabbed a weapon and used it on Gargano. Post-match, Miz was attacked by Lumis.

Shelton Benjamin had his first televised match since June 27th. He fell in defeat to Austin Theory, who unsuccessfully cashed in his Money in the Bank contract in the main event.

Prior to Raw at the ‘Main Event’ taping, Wendy Choo defeated Tamina and Xyon Quinn was in action and he scored a win over Akira Tozawa.
