Despite massive news coverage of the U.S. mid-term elections, NXT was unaffected and displayed growth in its key demo audience.

The November 8th episode averaged 664,000 viewers and approximately 196,000 (0.15) in the 18-49 demo, per Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics and Showbuzz Daily.

Overall viewership only dropped 1% from last week while the key audience was up by 11% compared to last Tuesday when it aired against the World Series and the highest audience in the demo since October 18th, which included multiple main roster appearances.

NXT ranked #40 among cable originals, which was dominated by election coverage by cable news networks. There were three non-election-related programs that ranked ahead of NXT on Tuesday.

In 18-49, its female viewership grew by 23% while men increased by 6% to a three-week high.

Among adults 18-34, the show averaged 84,000 viewers, a figure they have not hit since September 6th and up 10% from last week.

Adults 35-49 grew by 13% and adults 50+ were identical to last week’s number.

In Canada, NXT averaged 51,000 viewers and 24,000 in the 25-54 demographic on Sportsnet 360. The show did not rank among the top ten sports programs on Tuesday, which was led by the Toronto Maple Leafs vs. Las Vegas Golden Knights.
