Jun Akiyama will wrestle in an AEW next Friday on Rampage.
After Friday’s broadcast, AEW president Tony Khan announced that the Hall of Fame wrestler will team with Konosuke Takeshita on next week’s episode against Eddie Kingston & Ortiz at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.

The event will mark the first time Akiyama has wrestled for AEW and has been a dream opponent for Kingston, who will finally get to wrestle him.
Since 2020, Akiyama has been wrestling predominantly for DDT in Japan.
The match will take place one night before the Full Gear pay-per-view.
