Memories from his time teaming with Chuck Palumbo recounted by Billy Gunn.
Present day, the 59-year-old Billy Gunn is featured on-screen with AEW World Tag Team Champions The Acclaimed (Max Caster & Anthony Bowens). As a part of The Acclaimed’s presentation, Gunn is known as ‘Daddy Ass’.
He discussed his current run in wrestling and some past memories while doing a virtual signing for Captain’s Corner. Gunn looked back on his tag team with Chuck Palumbo, specifically the wedding segment they had.
It was revealed that Eric Bischoff was the minister for the segment and Gunn shared that he was not aware Bischoff was the minister until it was revealed in-ring. He stated that it was kept hidden and did not get out.
I thought it was really cool [Billy & Chuck Palumbo’s wedding segment], it was really good. I thought it was done good because nobody really knew who the minister was. For some reason, that did not get out at all, at least to us, the guys that were gonna be in the whole thing. I thought it was done well, it was good. It was awesome actually. Chuck and Billy stuff, I loved. It was a lot of fun so…
Next Saturday, Gunn will be accompanying Caster and Bowens to the ring as they’ll be defending the AEW World Tag Team Titles against Keith Lee and Swerve Strickland at Full Gear.
