AEW expects a follow-up to its Owen Hart Foundation Memorial Cup tournaments.
Tony Khan was asked about the status of the tournaments for 2023 on Thursday’s media call and stated he plans to continue the tournaments next year and continue working with Dr. Martha Hart.
Khan has credited Chris Jericho as being a key person involved in helping coordinate the working relationship between AEW and the Hart family.
Earlier this year, AEW introduced a men’s and women’s tournament in honor of the late star with Adam Cole and Dr. Britt Baker winning the respective tournaments at Double or Nothing in May.
Dr. Hart has attended several AEW shows including Double or Nothing where she presented the belts to Cole and Baker and addressed the crowd in Las Vegas at the T-Mobile Arena.
