The finals of AEW’s World Title Eliminator tournament will now take place on next week’s Dynamite.

Tony Khan revealed during a call with media members on Thursday that Ricky Starks was legitimately not cleared to compete against Lance Archer last week and caused a change to the format.

Khan’s updated plan is for Starks and Archer to have their opening round match this Friday on Rampage in Newark with the winner taking on Brian Cage in the semi-finals during the Zero Hour pre-show of Full Gear the next day.

From there, the winner would face Ethan Page next Wednesday at Dynamite in Chicago to determine the challenger for the AEW Championship at ‘Winter is Coming’ next month in Texas.

Page qualified for the final after beating Eddie Kingston and Bandido in the first two rounds.
