Sheamus provides reasoning for the Celtic Warrior Workout hiatus.

In October, Sheamus uploaded a new episode of Celtic Warrior Workouts for the first time since December 2020. The series had been on hiatus but is now back in full swing.

As Sheamus was doing press for Survivor Series: WarGames, he was interviewed by Shakiel Mahjouri. They dove into that hiatus for Sheamus’ channel and he said the reason he had to stop uploading new episodes was because of the third-party edict that WWE put in place in the fall of 2020.

Sheamus said because he was doing it on his own, it was placed under the proverbial umbrella along with platforms such as Twitch that WWE did not allow talents to be on. Sheamus shared that it was at WrestleMania when he spoke to Nick Khan, Stephanie McMahon and Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque about the channel coming back.

It just grew and grew and it was incredible [Celtic Warrior Workouts] and then, I guess the whole social media thing with TikTok — not TikTok, with Twitch and there was a couple of other things that came in so everything got put in the same blender. So I had to stop the channel, because it was a whole umbrella of social media and third-party stuff so because I was in that mold and because I was doing it on my own — well I did it on my own with the intention of doing it with WWE. It got closed down. So two-and-a-half years but then I was constantly in the back of my mind — I told Vince [McMahon], ‘Oh, I’ll shut it down. Everything’s shut down. Yeah, yeah,’ but I didn’t shut it down. I kept it there because I knew there was gonna be an opportunity and then of course at Mania last year, talked to everybody, Nick Khan, Triple H, you know, and Stephanie [McMahon] were like, ‘We want to get this channel back’ and man, it’s already been incredible.

Sheamus was a part of the main event of Survivor Series: WarGames. His team fell in defeat to The Bloodline (Roman Reigns, Sami Zayn, Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso & Solo Sikoa).
