Chase Owens off the remainder of the Tag League tour.

New Japan Pro-Wrestling is in the midst of their World Tag League and Super Junior Tag League tour. On the World Tag League side, Chase Owens had been teaming with Bad Luck Fale and they tallied up four points thus far.

Owens will no longer be continuing on the tour as he’ll be returning home following a death in his family. NJPW wished Owens the best and noted that the remainder and of he and Fale’s Tag League bouts have been cancelled. Two points will be awarded to their scheduled opponents.

Thank you for supporting New Japan Pro-Wrestling.

Chase Owens, who has been competing alongside Bad Luck Fale in the World Tag League, will be returning home for the remainder of the series following a death in the family, and will be absent from events starting tonight in Osaka.

We apologize to fans who were looking forward to seeing Chase wrestle, and appreciate your understanding.

Tonight’s scheduled bout between Fale and Owens and Bishamon will be cancelled. For the remainder of the tour, Chase and Fale’s World Tag League matches will be forfeited, and two points awarded to their scheduled opponents. Forthcoming World and Super Junior Tag League dates will also see card changes; check https://www.njpw1972.com/schedule/ for full information.

NJPW joins fans in wishing our condolences to Chase’s family.

Currently leading the standings in World Tag League is Aussie Open (Kyle Fletcher & Mark Davis). On the Super Junior Tag League front, the following pairs are tied for first place with eight points:

  • Ace Austin & Chris Bey
  • Francesco Akira & TJP
  • Alex Zayne & El Lindaman
  • BUSHI & Titán
  • YOH & Lio Rush
