Both teams play with the crowd a bit before the Samoan Swat Team starts attacking with chops in the corner. La Anexion continues to double-team Anoa’i including double knees before Juicy comes inside the ring and takes them out with a double clothesline. Juicy ends up taking both members of La Anexion for a double Samoan Drop as Anoa’i hits a splash from the top rope on Davidson for the pin and the win.

Winners: Samoan Swat Team (Juicy Finau & Lance Anoa’i) by pinfall at 4:23

Rich Bocchini got word with Jacob Fatu after and asked when the Samoan Swat Team would get a title shot. Fatu said they are unstoppable and about the gold, but he has unfinished business with Real 1. Fatu then spotted Willie Mack on commentary and welcomed him here. Willie Mack says they have been tearing it up on the West Coast could give MLW a treat and do the match here. Fatu says he has much respect for Mack and they agree to have a match.

Richards Has ‘A Friend’ For Kane

We are told that fans have been tweeting when they can expect this year’s Opera Cup Tournament to kick off, and while they can’t confirm a date, Alex Kane and his attorneys are refusing to meet with league officials about a possible Opera Cup Tournament. They go to the Bomaye Fight Club camp as Kane mentions they have an international title fight tonight with Myron Reed vs. Shun Skywalker and Mitchell Thomas in Thailand making dudes quit more than Davey Richards quits. Kane mentions how Reed has already knocked off Tajiri, Swerve Strickland and La Estrella and it doesn’t matter who they send next.

We then cut to Davey Richards who mentions getting done with some training with a ‘friend’ from overseas who Alex Kane will find out soon enough. And as good as it felt to capture the National Openweight Championship from Kane it’s going to feel better to recapture his Opera Cup. Richards ends it by saying ‘I don’t talk, right, I do’.

Court For Duran

They recap last week’s episode with multiple bodies getting attacked backstage and as a result, Court Bauer is in the house and not happy with Cesar Duran as they are set to meet behind closed doors. This is followed up with footage of Duran leaving Bauer’s office screaming as Bauer looked very angry.

Lio Rush Returns Soon

We get a video for Lio Rush returning soon to MLW.

We see a video from Mads Krugger who tells Mance Warner he should have never returned to MLW. He calls himself the ‘Southern Psychopath’, so he will put Warner’s name to the test as he makes him beg for his life as he will watch Krugger pick his bones.

They mention that Jacob Fatu vs. Willie Mack is official as the first match of 2023 ‘in a few weeks’.

EJ Nduka vs. Sultan del Aire

Sultan del Aire was announced as being very popular with the fans here in the Atlanta area from Mucha Lucha Atlanta and is carrying a Pikachu plush. EJ Nduka goes right to Sultan in the corner before tossing him to the other corner. Nduka continues to toss Sultan before Sultan escapes and kicks away at Nduka. Nduka ends up catching Sultan and hitting him with The Verdict spinebuster. Nduka takes Sultan’s Pikachu and tries to kick it, but it ends up hitting the referee in the face. Sultan tries to elbow Nduka off and kick him down, but Nduka knocks him down with a clothesline. Nduka threatens to take off Sultan’s mask before hitting him with the Nduka Bomb for the win.

Winner: EJ Nduka by pinfall at 2:54

Nduka gets on the mic after and tells the crowd to stay shut but before he can continue, Alex Hammerstone runs in and starts attacking Nduka, as they spill to the floor and fight all the way to the top of the stage before crashing through a table that was ringside. Hammerstone is bleeding from the mouth and seems to have taken the worst of this fall.

We cut to Jacob Fatu who is backstage as commentary questions if he is considering cashing in his golden ticket from winning the Battle Riot right here and right now. Later it’s clarified that Fatu decided against it and said ‘not like this’.

We see another video for the return of Davey Boy Smith Jr.

Flammer’s Next, Duran’s Out, Hammer’s Holey

They announce that in two weeks; Taya Valkyrie will defend her MLW Women’s World Featherweight Championship against Lady Flammer. As well as Cesar Duran being out as matchmaker, a position he has held in MLW since 2021. It’s also announced that Hammerstone has a hole under his bottom lip and is refusing to go to the hospital, so Atlas Security League officials have created a barrier, so Hammerstone doesn’t go after Nduka.

MLW World Middleweight Championship: Myron Reed (c) vs. Shun Skywalker (w/ Davey Richards)

Shun Skywalker is announced as one of the world’s best from Dragon Gate as Alex Kane joined commentary. They start with leap frogs and flips before having a standoff. Skywalker comes back with kicks and starts working on Myron Reed’s right leg. They battle off the corner with Skywalker knocking Reed to the outside where he meets him with a suicide dive as we go to break.

When we come back, Skywalker hits a boot for a two-count. Skywalker keeps Reed on the ropes with chops before they fight on the apron where Reed hits a leg drop. Reed catches Reed with a super kick before hitting a DDT off the ropes for a two-count. Reed keeps Skywalker in the corner with stomps and elbows before Skywalker stops Reed with a running knee. Reed comes back with a chop, but Skywalker hits a DDT but misses a standing moonsault. They go back and forth until Skywalker is able to hit the moonsault with knees. Skywalker calls for the finish but Reed counters it with a stunner. Reed kicks Skywalker on the apron and hits him with a cutter from inside to the floor as the crowd erupts. Reed tries to springboard back inside but Skywalker blocks it with a dropkick followed by the SSW for a two-count. Skywalker tries a moonsault off the ropes but Reed counters it with a cutter but Skywalker kicks out at three. Reed tries to spring off the ropes, but Skywalker catches him as they fall into a roll-up exchange until Skywalker is able to hold on for the pin and the win.
