Matt Riddle will be out of action for around six weeks, it was announced on Friday night’s episode of SmackDown.
The writing-off of the character was blamed on the attack by Bloodline member Solo Sikoa on the December 5th episode of Raw.

Michael Cole said that Riddle had “suffered significant trauma to his trachea” in the attack, which happened after Riddle and Kevin Owens lost a WWE Undisputed Tag Team Championship match with the Usos.
Sikoa hit Riddle with the Samoan Spike and multiple running hip attacks, including one with a steel chair placed around Riddle’s neck.
It is not known if Riddle is dealing with any genuine injury, although a six-week timeline would line up with the 2023 Royal Rumble.
