YOSHI-HASHI & Hirooki Goto to challenge FTR for IWGP Tag Titles at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 17

For the second year in a row, Bishamon (Hirooki Goto & YOSHI-HASHI) won World Tag League and they are heading back to the Tokyo Dome

Bishamon goes back-to-back. 

Headlining today’s NJPW World Tag/Super Junior Tag League finals event was the heavyweight Tag League final. 

It was the duo of Bishamon (YOSHI-HASHI & Hirooki Goto) taking on Aussie Open (Kyle Fletcher & Mark Davis). For the second consecutive year, Bishamon won World Tag League. 

This was Goto’s fourth World Tag League victory. He won the very first tournament in 2012 alongside Karl Anderson. 

Bishamon will be heading to Wrestle Kingdom 17 on January 4th to challenge FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler) for the IWGP Tag Team Championships. Harwood and Wheeler recently lost the ROH World Tag Titles to The Briscoes (Mark & Jay Briscoe) at Final Battle. They are still in possession of the IWGP and AAA World Tag Titles.

  • IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship — Four Way: Taiji Ishimori (c) vs. Master Wato vs. Hiromu Takahashi vs. El Desperado
  • IWGP U.S. Heavyweight Championship: Will Ospreay (c) vs. Kenny Omega
  • IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championships: Francesco Akira & TJP (c) vs. Lio Rush & YOH
  • IWGP Tag Team Championships: FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler) (c) vs. Bishamon (YOSHI-HASHI & Hirooki Goto)
  • NEVER Openweight Championship: Karl Anderson (c) vs. Tama Tonga
