The cost of following the UFC’s biggest cards just got steeper.
Sports Business Journal has reported that ESPN+ is increasing the price of the UFC’s monthly pay-per-view events with the new price of $79.99 per event.
The $5 price increase will go into effect with UFC 283 on January 21st from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
It is the fourth time that ESPN+ has raised the cost of a UFC pay-per-view since the deal began in 2019 when pay-per-views were initially priced at $59.99. There is also a monthly subscription rate for ESPN+ subscribers of $9.99.
UFC 283 will feature two championship fights as Glover Teixeira will fight Jamahal Hill for the vacant light heavyweight championship, and Deiveson Figueiredo will defend the flyweight championship against Brandon Moreno in their fourth meeting.
The promotion has announced follow-up pay-per-views in Australia, Las Vegas, and London for February and March next year.
In a statement to Sports Business Journal, a Disney spokesperson confirmed the price increase and added that the price “reflects the value of ESPN+ and the popularity and quality of UFC events.”
