The King of Pro Wrestling trophy was established within New Japan Pro-Wrestling in 2020. The likes of Toru Yano, Shingo Takagi, Minoru Suzuki, Chase Owens and Taichi have been in possession of the trophy.

At today’s Road to Tokyo Dome event, a physical KOPW Championship belt was unveiled.

The latest defense was on December 19th at Taichi and TAKA Michinoku’s joint event. Shingo Takagi bested Taichi to retain.
