Dragon Lee is joining WWE.

At today’s AAA show, Dragon Lee and Dralístico bested FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler) to win the AAA World Tag Team Championships.

After the match, Lee got on the microphone and stated that it’s the end of a cycle in Mexico as he’s opted to join WWE. Lee told ESPN that he signed earlier this month and is set to start with the company in January beginning with NXT.

James Kimball, WWE’s Head of Talent Strategy and Operations, said the following about Lee’s signing:

Dragon Lee is a tremendous talent that will immediately add value to the NXT roster. This signing is reflective of WWE’s renewed emphasis on globalizing our talent pipeline with Latin America positioned as a focal market.

The former IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion got the ball rolling in regards to joining WWE after a conversation with Finn Balor. He then went on to chat with WWE’s James Kimball and Trent Wilfinger.

Lee is 27 years of age and has been wrestling since 2017. He’s wrestled for ROH, AEW, NJPW, CMLL and is now heading to WWE.
