Kenny Omega is IWGP U.S. Heavyweight Champion once again.
In the semi main event of NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 17, Will Ospreay put his IWGP U.S. Heavyweight Championship on the line against AEW’s Kenny Omega.
Ospreay walked into the match using his ‘Elevated’ theme song and joining the commentary team for the bout was Don Callis.
The final sequence of the match saw a beaten down Ospreay spit at Omega while Omega held onto his wrist. Kenny then gave his opponent a ‘Kamigoye’ followed by a One Winged Angel to put Ospreay away.
Omega is the first-ever IWGP U.S. Heavyweight Champion and is in possession of the belt once again.
