A movie coming about Antonio Inoki.
As the Kickoff show for NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 17 was closing out, a vignette aired on the big screen and commentator Chris Charlton stated that the vignette was to promote a movie about Antonio Inoki that is in development.
Inoki passed away at the age of 79 in September.
Wrestle Kingdom 17 is dedicated to Inoki. NJPW President Takami Ohbari previously stated that he planned on inviting Inoki to Wrestle Kingdom prior to his passing and wanted him to appear in front of the audience.
There was an Inoki memorial match on the Kickoff that saw Yuji Nagata, Satoshi Kojima and Togi Makabe defeat Tatsumi Fujinami, Minoru Suzuki and Tiger Mask.
