ZSJ wins his first singles title in NJPW and joins TMDK.
The finals of the NJPW World Television Championship tournament took place at Wrestle Kingdom 17. It was Zack Sabre Jr. and Ren Narita who made it to the end of their respective brackets to compete for the belt.
In the end, it was Sabre Jr. tapping out Narita to secure the win and the championship.
Post-match, Sabre Jr. was approached by T.M.D.K. (Shane Haste & Mikey Nicholls) who competed in the New Japan Ranbo earlier in the show.
They asked Sabre Jr. to join T.M.D.K. and he agreed. Haste, Sabre Jr. and Nicholls tagged together in Pro Wrestling NOAH.
