The amount of ‘negative feedback’ was cited as the reason for the cancellation.
On January 4th, it was announced by Bobby Fulton that Big Time Collectibles would be bringing John Laurinaitis in for WrestleMania weekend in California which would have been Laurinaitis’ first post-WWE appearance.
Today, Fulton tweeted out that there was only ‘negative feedback’ from the announcement and they’ve decided not to work with Laurinaitis.
Yesterday we announced John Laurinaitis would be doing an appearance with Big Time Collectibles. Upon announcement we received only negative feedback. After much consideration we have decided to not work with him. We apologize to those that were offended by us working with him. pic.twitter.com/l9Eg6GQD7a

Laurinaitis’ time with WWE came to an end in the summer of 2022. After the Wall Street Journal stories began to roll out and Laurinaitis’ name was included with Vince McMahon’s in the reporting, he was placed on administrative leave.
In late July, the new regime in WWE was established as Stephanie McMahon and Nick Khan took on the roles of co-CEOs and Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque was appointed as Chief Content Officer.
