Lio Rush suffered broken nose at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 17, could not make New Year Dash event

Lio Rush had to fly home and could not compete at New Year Dash. 

The opening contest of NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 17 at the Tokyo Dome was Lio Rush and YOH challenging Francesco Akira and TJP for the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championships. 

Early in the match, Rush was hit with a double team move on the entrance ramp that split him open. Rush and YOH were on the losing end of the match and after the bout, he shared an image of the injuries he suffered. 

At New Year Dash, commentator Chris Charlton shared that Rush suffered a broken nose. He was scheduled to compete at New Year Dash but had to fly home due to the injury. 

In addition to the update on Rush, it was made official that the Wrestle Kingdom 17 at Yokohama Arena show will be Pro Wrestling NOAH versus NJPW.
