WWE Raw notes: MVP wants to mend fences with Lashley, Uncle Howdy interrupts Alexa Bliss, tag titles

MVP wants to make peace with Bobby Lashley, Alexa Bliss visited by Uncle Howdy, Judgment Day earn Raw Tag Title match, Cody Rhodes package

After being suspended from Monday Night Raw, Bobby Lashley returned to the show and speared United States Champion Austin Theory. Lashley got on the microphone and alluded to being in the 2023 men’s Royal Rumble match.

Later in the show, Lashley was approached by MVP who expressed that he wanted to make peace. MVP was revealed to be the person who got Lashley’s suspension lifted. Bobby stated that he cannot just forget that MVP turned on him but did give MVP a fist bump for helping him on the suspension front.

The main event of the show was a Tag Team Turmoil match to determine who’s going to challenge The Usos (Jimmy & Jey Uso) for the Raw Tag Team Titles. Judgment Day emerged victorious from the match. They bested Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson, Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin along with Alpha Academy (Chad Gable & Otis).

At the end of the bout against Alpha Academy, Finn Balor was ‘hurt’ and could not continue. Damian Priest was reluctant to team with Dominik Mysterio, but it was either that option or they forfeit. With assistance from Rhea Ripley, Dominik pulled off the final win against The Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins). The Judgment Day are now getting a shot at The Usos’ Raw Tag Team Championships.

As Alexa Bliss was addressing her match with Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair from 1/2, she stated that she was ‘in control’ which led to an appearance from Uncle Howdy.

Part two of Cody Rhodes’ hype video series aired. Footage was shown of Rhodes’ surgery for his torn pectoral muscle and Brandi Rhodes was included in the video.

After losing to Austin Theory in the main event of the 1/2 Raw, Seth Rollins was back on this week’s show to confront Theory. Rollins came out on crutches but soon revealed that he did not need them to walk. He stated that his knee is not 100 percent, but it will be by the Royal Rumble on January 28th.

During an interview segment with Bronson Reed, he informed The Miz that although he helped him beat Dexter Lumis, they are not friends and if Miz wants him to do something, he has to pay.

At the ‘Main Event’ taping prior to Raw, Odyssey Jones bested Akira Tozawa and there was a singles match that saw Mustafa Ali defeat Von Wagner.

When Candice LeRae was being interviewed backstage, Nikki Cross could be seen watching her from afar.
