AEW Rampage drops 15 percent in demo from previous week, #24 on cable

AEW Rampage experienced a decrease for its second episode of the year including a sizable loss in the 18-34 demographic.

The January 13th taped episode from the Kia Forum averaged 513,000 viewers and approximately 170,000 (0.13) in the 18-49 demographic and ranked #24 among cable originals on Friday. (Data: Wrestlenomics and Showbuzz Daily).

From the previous week, Rampage’s audience dropped by 7 percent with a 15 percent decline in the 18-49 demo while its 18-34 audience decreased by 44 percent. The 18-34 number equaled its lowest amount in that demo since 12/9.

Adults 35-49 saw a small gain of 2 percent from the prior week’s show.

The show aired against the final minutes of the Golden State Warriors vs. San Antonio Spurs and the beginning of the L.A. Clippers vs. Denver Nuggets, which were the top cable programs for the night on ESPN. The Clippers vs. Nuggets averaged 1,114,000 viewers and 0.39 in the 18-49 demo. Rampage also aired against a college basketball game between Michigan State and Illinois that averaged 604,000 viewers and 0.16.

Rampage included a TNT title defense by Darby Allin against Juice Robinson and a street fight involving Ruby Soho & Willow Nightingale against Tay Melo & Anna Jay in the main event.
