At the age of 38, Jay Briscoe passed away.

AEW President Tony Khan shared the news that Jamin Pugh, known by his ring name as Jay Briscoe, passed away at the age of 38.

Sadly, Jamin Pugh has passed away. Known to fans as Jay Briscoe, he was a star in ROH for over 20 years, from the first show until today. Jay and his brother Mark dominated ROH, reigning as champions to this day. We’ll do whatever we can to support his family. Rest In Peace Jamin

Jay was one-half of the ROH World Tag Team Champions alongside his brother and longtime tag partner, Mark Briscoe. They won the titles at ROH Final Battle from FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler) in December.

Jay began his in-ring career in the early 2000s and has been part of Ring of Honor since 2002. Throughout their collective careers, Mark and Jay captured tag titles in GCW, IMPACT Wrestling, New Japan Pro-Wrestling and Pro Wrestling NOAH.

The duo have held the ROH Tag Titles 13 times and were inducted into the company’s Hall of Fame in 2022

POST Wrestling would like to send our condolences to the family, friends and loved ones of Jamin ‘Jay Briscoe’ Pugh.
