An update from R-Truth.

Before being sidelined with a quad tendon tear, R-Truth had been on the NXT brand and was working on-screen with Grayson Waller. Truth’s injury occurred during a singles match with Waller when he flipped over the top rope and when he landed, he immediately grabbed for his left leg.

Truth provided an update on his recovery via a livestream that he did. He shared that he had to undergo a second surgery because he contracted an infection and that set his recovery process back but added that he’s probably coming back sooner than people think.

Still healing up. Still healing up from my quad injuries.

I’m going back to WWE. I just got to heal up. I had to have two surgeries. A lot of people don’t know that. I caught an infection so I had to have another surgery. So that set me back but, y’all know me, I’m coming back probably sooner than y’all think.

He started doing physical therapy again as recently as January 9th. Truth said he was feeling good as of the recording.

I’m feeling good man. I did my own P.T. today, I got P.T. again tomorrow. I just started back up physical therapy last Monday. I had to have two surgeries so I was out for a while. It pushed everything back.

On the 10/25 NXT on USA Network was when Truth first appeared for the brand. He expressed that he was enjoying NXT and he’ll be going back when he gets the chance to.

I was enjoying NXT (before I got injured). I like NXT, I love NXT, I’m going back.

Truth’s last opponent before he went down with the injury, Grayson Waller, is going to be challenging for the NXT Championship at Vengeance Day in a Steel Cage match.
