Delaware police issue statement regarding fatal accident involving Jay Briscoe

The Delaware State Police have issued a statement on the fatal accident involving Jamin Pugh a.k.a. Jay Briscoe.

According to the police statement, 27-year-old Lillyanne Ternahan was driving a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and going westbound on Laurel Road. For unknown reasons, she swerved into the oncoming lane and collided head-on with Pugh, who was driving a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500, which included his two daughters as passengers.

Both Pugh and Ternahan were pronounced dead at the scene with the statement noting that Ternahan was wearing a seatbelt, while Pugh was not.

Pugh’s 12-year-old and 9-year-old daughters were rushed to the hospital. Their mother, Ashley, posted an update on Facebook on Wednesday stating that daughter Gracie was scheduled for surgery while Jayleigh had some pretty serious injuries but was stable.

It is unknown if alcohol was involved and an investigation is ongoing by the Delaware State Police Troop.
