The Young Bucks paid tribute to the late Jay Briscoe on Being the Elite.

Matt & Nick Jackson opened the show alongside Brandon Cutler while traveling to last week’s edition of Dynamite in Fresno, California.

The brothers reflected on all the time they spent with Jay and Matt mentioning the bond that only wrestlers can understand when sharing the ring, putting your body in the other’s hands, and coming out of it safely.

It was noted that all talent was given the option of whether they wanted to come to the show that night stemming from the news of Briscoe’s passing.

Matt said they had pushed for AEW to hire The Briscoes and when AEW launched, the brothers said they needed The Lucha Brothers and The Briscoes for the tag division.

The Bucks added that their minds were elsewhere the whole night to the point that they forgot to wear their Trios Championships to the ring for their match with Top Flight. Both wore armbands in memory of Jay Briscoe and hit a Doomsday Device as a tribute.

Later in the show, Matt & Nick were joined by Christopher Daniels in the car and the three noted they have been in contact with Mark Briscoe and did hear back from him.

Pro Wrestling Tees has released a t-shirt in honor of Jay Briscoe and have stated that 100 percent of the proceeds will be going to the Pugh family.

Briscoe (Jamin Pugh) died tragically last Tuesday at the age of 38 when he was involved in a head-on collision in Laurel, Delaware when another vehicle swerved into his lane killing both drivers.

Pugh’s daughters, Gracie and Jayleigh, were involved in the accident and are recovering from their serious injuries sustained in the crash.
