Charlotte Flair reflects on Ric Flair’s Last Match, states she was ‘a little jealous’ seeing Ric & Andrade El Idolo in-ring together

Charlotte Flair weighs in on Ric Flair's Last Match and getting to see her husband, Andrade El Idolo, and father team up

Charlotte shares her thoughts about Ric’s Last Match.

Over the summer of 2022, 73-year-old Ric Flair made his in-ring return and wrestled in what was billed as his ‘last match’. He tagged with Andrade El Idolo and defeated Jeff Jarrett and Jay Lethal.

The reigning SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair weighed in on the match when she appeared on The TODAY Show to promote the forthcoming Royal Rumble Premium Live Event.

Charlotte admitted she was ‘a little jealous’ seeing her father and husband share the ring together because she wanted to be part of it. She added that she wishes her late brother, Reid Flair, could have seen it.

That was a long day (Ric Flair’s Last Match). Honestly, I was a little jealous (seeing Ric & Andrade El Idolo in the ring together) because I was like, oh, I wanna be a part of this because I’ve shared the ring with my dad but not in that capacity but again, my husband having the opportunity to be beside him and at the same time, I’m like, man, I wish my little brother could see this and then my husband is a third-generational wrestler and then with my dad, it was awesome, picture perfect but I mean, I think my dad could have maybe just managed my husband. It worked out.

Both Charlotte and Ric were present on-screen at WWE Raw 30. Ric introduced Charlotte to the ring which led to a segment involving Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair and Sonya Deville.
