UFC president Dana White has announced two major fights for UFC 287 in April including a rematch for the 185-pound championship.
On Friday, White confirmed a rematch between UFC middleweight champion Alex Pereira (7-1) and former champ Israel Adesanya (23-2), along with a middleweight fight between Jorge Masvidal (35-16) and Gilbert Burns (21-5), are set for April 8th at UFC 287.

Pereira, who holds two kickboxing victories over Adesanya, defeated him in their first MMA encounter at UFC 281 last November.
Masvidal has lost his last three fights with two losses to former welterweight champion Kamaru Usman and last fought in March 2022 losing a decision to Colby Covington. Burns just competed last weekend at UFC 283 and submitted Neil Magny in the first round of their welterweight contest.
No location has been announced for UFC 287, although Ariel Helwani has said that Madison Square Garden has been discussed, but nothing is confirmed yet.
