A visa issue has affected Kenny Omega’s ability to appear on recent AEW programming.
Reports from Fightful and the Wrestling Observer Newsletter stated that the Elite member has been off television since the 1/11 event at the Kia Forum due to a visa issue.
Omega (Tyson Smith), born in Winnipeg, last appeared in the Escalera de la Muerte match with The Young Bucks against Death Triangle in the seventh and final match of their series for the Trios Championship.
In the Observer Newsletter, it stated Omega really wanted to be on the show this week because of his love for the late Jamin Pugh, who was being honored. Dave Meltzer added that the hope is for Omega to return next week in Dayton, Ohio but that is “not a lock”.
