AEW Dynamite drops in viewership and 18-49, #4 on cable

AEW Dynamite fell to its lowest viewership of the year while maintaining a spot among the top five cable programs on Wednesday.

The February 15th episode from Laredo, Texas averaged 824,000 viewers and approximately 352,000 (0.27) in the 18-49 demographic, per Wrestlenomics and Showbuzz Daily.

The show dropped 8 percent in viewership from the prior week and was its lowest average since November 16, 2022. The 18-49 audience declined by 9 percent – its lowest since January 4th of this year. In the key demo, female viewership dropped by 11.5 percent and males declined by 7.5 percent.

The show was fourth among cable originals for the night behind the NBA games on ESPN and MTV’s The Challenge. Dynamite aired against the Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Philadelphia 76ers averaging 1,038,000 viewers and 0.37 in the demo with The Challenger averaging 671,000 and 0.33.

Dynamite experienced a 19 percent drop among adults 18-34 while adults 35-49 were steady with a one percent loss.

Adults 50+ fell from 0.40 to 0.37 this week.

In Canada, the show averaged 101,600 viewers and 43,300 in the 25-54 demographic on TSN 2, which means NXT was ahead of Dynamite in the demo this week in Canada.

Dynamite featured a triple threat involving Dr. Britt Baker, Ruby Soho, and Toni Storm in the main event along with a Texas Tornado match involving Jon Moxley & Claudio Castagnoli among the top matches.

In its fifth week, Power Slap averaged 275,000 viewers and 0.09 in the 18-49 demographic on TBS and ranked #55 among cable originals. The audience was identical to the week prior while the demo was up from 0.08 last week.
