White is at peace coming off of the ‘Loser Leaves Japan’ match.
This Saturday, Jay White is going to be facing Eddie Kingston at NJPW Battle in the Valley. White is coming off a pin fall loss to Hikuleo at The New Beginning in Osaka and per the stipulation, White must leave Japan.
He was interviewed by Sports Illustrated’s Justin Barrasso and stated that so much is possible, going on to list IMPACT Wrestling, AEW and WWE.
So much is possible. IMPACT, AEW, WWE—we’ll see.
He went on to add that he’s at peace with it. White does not feel he left a lot of boxes unchecked and does not know if there’s more he could have done. He hopes that as time goes on, people appreciate this stretch of his career.
White went on to speak highly of Hikuleo and says he is everything he knew he was. Jay is proud of him, has always believed in him and said they’ll forever be linked.
I’m at peace with it. I don’t know if there is much more I could have done. I don’t feel like I left a bunch of boxes unchecked. I’ve been living it, so it can be hard to appreciate it in the moment, but as I move on, I’ve started to look back at the weight some of it holds. As time goes on, I hope people appreciate it even more. To me, I was doing what I was meant to be doing. Now I’m looking at what’s next.
I can’t go back to Japan, but there is nothing that says I can’t compete at the shows in the United States. Hikuleo was everything I always knew he was. I’ve always believed in him. I’m proud of him, and his moment came against me, so now we’re tied to each other forever.
