AEW’s Penelope Ford becomes DDT Ironman Heavymetalweight Champion

With the setup by Kip Sabian, Penelope Ford was able to scoop and score to win her first championship in DDT

Ford scoops and scores with the title.

A new Ironman Heavymetalweight Champion was crowned at the 2/18 DDT Pro-Wrestling show in Nagoya, Japan.

The now former champion Saki Akai walked past AEW’s Penelope Ford and Kip Sabian as they were recording their backstage comments. Sabian then whispered in Ford’s ear before calling out to Akai.

While Sabian held conversation with Akai to distract her, Ford came up from behind, rolled her up and got the three count.

The most recent AEW talent that held the championship was Britt Baker in November 2020
