For the first time, Yuji Nagata is holding the Triple Crown.

All Japan Pro Wrestling held their ‘Excite Series’ event from Korakuen Hall and the main event saw Kento Miyahara defending the Triple Crown Heavyweight Championship against Yuji Nagata.

In what was a 20-plus minute bout, Nagata pulled out the victory with a high kick which was followed by a backdrop hold.

Nagata’s accolades in AJPW include a Champion Carnival win 2011, All Asia and World Tag Title runs and he has now captured his first Triple Crown Championship. After the match, Shuji Ishikawa came to the ring to issue a challenge.

He has now held the Triple Crown, IWGP and GHC Heavyweight Titles.
