Okada & Tanahashi to challenge for IWGP tag titles on 3/6

Kazuchika Okada and Hiroshi Tanahashi will challenge for the IWGP Tag Team Championships.

Dubbed “The Dream Team”, Okada and Tanahashi are set to headline New Japan’s 51st-anniversary event on Monday, March 6th against champions Hirooki Goto and YOSHI-HASHI.

After Okada’s successful title defense against Tanahashi at Battle in the Valley, the IWGP World Heavyweight Champion proposed teaming up with Tanahashi to go for the titles which led to the match announcement with Okada taking on his CHAOS stablemates.

The event emanates from Ota City Gymnasium, which was the site of the very first New Japan card in 1972 and was headlined by Antonio Inoki and Karl Gotch.
