IMPACT on AXS notes: Trey Miguel wins Monster’s Ball, Bully/Dreamer, Callihan continues to be tested

Trey Miguel retains the X Division Championship, Bully Ray to speak first at Busted Open Live, The Design continues to test Sami Callihan

Closing out the 2/23 episode of IMPACT Wrestling on AXS was Trey Miguel successfully defending the X Division Championship against Crazzy Steve in a Monster’s Ball match.

Busted Open Radio’s Dave LaGreca is going to be hosting ‘Busted Open Live’ at No Surrender and he’ll moderate a sit-down conversation between Bully Ray and Tommy Dreamer. Both Dreamer and Bully competed in ‘Beat the Clock’ matches to determine who gets to speak first at No Surrender. Dreamer defeated Jason Hotch in one minute, 15 seconds and Bully used his steel chain and a distraction from Hotch to defeat Bhupinder Gujjar in under 50 seconds.

Ahead of The Hex (Allysin Kay & Marti Belle) challenging for the Knockouts World Tag Team Titles at No Surrender, Allysin picked up a win over Knockouts Tag Team Champion Taya Valkyrie.

To open the show, Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin) defeated Jonathan Gresham and ‘Speedball’ Mike Bailey.

The Design (Deaner, Kon & Angels) are continuing to test Sami Callihan in order to determine if he’ll gain entry into the group or not. Callihan tagged with Deaner and they lost to Frankie Kazarian and Yuya Uemura. Deaner left Callihan by himself to submit to Kazarian. Callihan approached The Design’s leader afterwards.

On the ‘Before the IMPACT’ program, Kevin Knight scored a win over Jack Price.
