The fallout edition of Friday Night SmackDown from Elimination Chamber remained the top show for its night.
The February 24th episode from Evansville averaged 2,408,000 viewers and approximately 813,000 (0.62) in the 18-49 demographic and ranked first among all programming on Friday. (Wrestlenomics and Showbuzz Daily).
It was SmackDown’s third-largest figure of the year.
The closest competitor on network television was Senor De Cielos VIII on Telemundo (0.46). SmackDown also ranked first among the 18-34 and 25-54 demos.
Compared to the previous week, viewership was up by one percent with the key demo audience rising by eight percent. In the 18-49 demo, females grew by 14 percent and men by four percent.
SmackDown’s 18-34 audience was up by 18 percent to its highest mark since January 27th, which was the night before the Royal Rumble. Males in the demo grew by 28 percent this week while women increased by four percent.
Adults 35-54 rose by three percent with a decline of six percent among men while women increased by 20 percent.
In Canada, SmackDown averaged 240,200 viewers and 105,700 in the 25-54 demographic on Sportsnet 360, which was seventh for the night among sports programs in the country. The numbers were down from last week’s figures from the episode in Montreal that averaged 295,200 and 138,800 respectively.
SmackDown included a show-long tease of Jimmy Uso addressing his brother in the ring and being confronted by Sami Zayn with an appearance from Jey.
The season-finale of Young Rock averaged 1,481,000 viewers and 0.26 in the 18-49 demographic. Against the big four networks, it topped two repeats on CBS and tied Lopez vs. Lopez for seventh among the nine prime-time programs. Young Rock was last in overall viewership.
