AEW Dynamite improves 7% in demo, #4 on cable for post-PPV edition

AEW Dynamite had a small experience following the Revolution pay-per-view with a fourth-place ranking among cable originals.

The March 8th edition from Sacramento averaged 858,000 viewers and approximately 378,000 (0.29) in the 18-49 demographic, per Wrestlenomics and Showbuzz Daily.

It ranked fourth behind Dallas Mavericks vs. New Orleans Pelicans on ESPN (1,177,000 and 0.37), Vanderpump Rules on Bravo (879,000 and 0.35), and L.A. Clippers vs. Toronto Raptors (998,000 and 0.35).

Dynamite increased by three percent in viewers and seven percent in the demo from last week’s go-home episode.

In the 18-49 demographic, female viewership was equal to last week while male viewership saw an eight percent gain.

Adults 18-34 improved by 30 percent this week after a low number last week.

Adults 35-49 dropped by four percent and adults 50+ increased by 2.5 percent.

In Canada, the show dropped significantly by averaging approximately 72,000 viewers and 26,000 in the 25-54 demographic on TSN 2, which were decreases of 43 and 66 percent respectively. It was Dynamite’s lowest viewership in Canada since December 21, 2022.

Dynamite did not rank among the top ten sports programs in Canada on Wednesday with the chart including two NHL games, the Brier Curling tournament, a Toronto Blue Jays pre-season game in the afternoon, and the Toronto Raptors vs. L.A. Clippers.

The final episode of the season for Power Slap averaged 220,000 viewers and 0.05 in the 18-49 demographic on TBS, which ranked #106 among cable originals. It was the show’s lowest viewership average of the eight-episode season and down from last week’s figures of 277,000 and 0.09.
