Dana White: “I don’t think Brock wants to fight any more”

Dana White doesn’t think we will ever see Brock Lesnar compete in MMA again.

Despite years away from his last fight and age, many were speculating on the potential of Lesnar fighting Jon Jones after Jones finally made his heavyweight debut last weekend in spectacular fashion.

Jones and Lesnar was once discussed as a highly marketable fight, but White spoke with Justin Barrasso of SI.com and thinks that the ship has sailed on another fight involving the WWE performer:

Brock and I have a great relationship, and we always have, but I don’t think Brock wants to fight any more. Brock’s made a lot of money. He came into the UFC and won the heavyweight title. He’s got nothing left to prove. I don’t think he’d want to do it.

The former UFC heavyweight champion Lesnar last fought at UFC 200 in July 2016 where he defeated Mark Hunt by unanimous decision. The win was changed to a no-contest after Lesnar failed a pair of pre-fight drug tests with the results coming back after the contest and revealing clomiphene in his system.

Lesnar fought exclusively for the UFC from 2008 until 2011 before returning to WWE in April 2012. A deal was struck four years later that allowed Lesnar to compete against Hunt where UFC aired a commercial for that year’s SummerSlam at UFC 200.
