The luchador publicly announced that he was headed to WWE on December 28th, 2022, at AAA Noche De Campeones. He and his brother Dralístico had just won the AAA Tag Team Championships from FTR.
The titles were vacated after Lee’s announcement, and the signing of the 27-year-old was immediately confirmed by WWE, with a start date in January. It is thought that his debut was delayed by visa issues.
Dragon Lee has formerly competed for CMLL, Ring of Honor, New Japan Pro Wrestling and AAA, among others. Along with Rush and Andrade El Idolo, he also took part in AEW’s World Trios Championship tournament in August 2022.
