Lee urges Shawn Michaels to let him test himself.
For weeks, NXT North American Champion Wes Lee has been issuing open challenges for his title. He did so again on the 3/14 NXT on USA Network and another brawl broke out amongst the talent roster but this go-round, no match came out of it.
Footage was shown of Lee chatting with Shawn Michaels backstage and Lee stressed how important it is to prove himself. He then asked Michaels for 10 opponents at Stand & Deliver, but Michaels shortened that and said he’ll put Lee in a Fatal 5-Way and Lee can choose his opponents.
Lee has been champion since October 2022 when he won the belt at Halloween Havoc. He’s had five successful title defenses thus far.
