NXT experienced a drop from last week’s Roadblock special for a show built around a contract signing and the threat of Grayson Waller breaking into Johnny Gargano’s home.
The March 14th edition of NXT averaged 590,000 viewers and approximately 196,000 (0.15) in the 18-49 demographic according to Wrestlenomics and Showbuzz Daily.
The show ranked #19 among cable originals, which was topped by NCAA basketball programming in the top three spots on TruTV.
NXT aired against back-to-back college games on TruTV as well as an NHL game on ESPN as its sports competition for the evening.
NXT’s viewership dropped by five percent while the 18-49 audience decreased by 12 percent from last week’s Roadblock special.
In the key demo, the male audience dropped by 18 percent while females declined by nine percent.
Adults 18-34 fell by 13 percent while adults 35-49 saw a drop of ten percent.
In Canada, the show hit its largest audience since 2/14 with an average of approximately 76,000 viewers and 33,000 in the 25-54 demographic on Sportsnet 360, which were up from last week’s numbers by 46 and 44 percent respectively. This week’s episode did not rank among the top ten sports programs on Tuesday.
