New Japan Pro Wrestling’s annual Best of the Super Juniors tournament is set to commence in May with the schedule being released.
The latest installment of the tournament dates back to 1988 when it was the Top of the Super Juniors (renamed Best of the Super Juniors beginning in 1994), will begin on 5/12 and run until 5/27 with the final set for Ota-Ku Gymnasium in Tokyo.
The tournament will run over two weeks with twelve shows involving the participants, who have yet to be revealed.
The current IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion, Hiromu Takahashi, has won the last three editions of the tournament and beat El Desperado in the final of the 2022 version.
