Cody Rhodes will face Ludwig Kaiser for the first time on next Friday’s episode of SmackDown.
The match was set up on Saturday’s episode of The SmackDown LowDown, when Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci of Imperium interrupted an interview with Rhodes.
Kaiser mocked Rhodes for winning the Royal Rumble from the 30th spot, sarcastically calling him a “hero” for eliminating Gunther, who had entered first and been in the match for over an hour.
To close the segment, Rhodes said wrestling was all about wins and losses, and challenged Kaiser to the match on Friday, March 24th.
The match joins one other announced contest for the next episode of SmackDown: L.A. Knight vs. Rey Mysterio.
