New Japan Cup night 10 results: final four decided as David Finlay and Tama Tonga advance

The semifinals of the New Japan Cup were set earlier on Saturday with wins for David Finlay and Tama Tonga.

The pair won their quarterfinal matches in front of 1,101 fans at Act City, Hamamatsu.

David Finlay, who is in the midst of a significant push, pinned Shota Umino after hitting his Trash Panda finisher.

In the card’s main event, Tama Tonga got the win over Hirooki Goto with the Gun Stun.

Finlay and Tama Tonga will now face each other on Sunday for a place in the final.

In the other semifinal, also scheduled for Sunday, SANADA will go up against Mark Davis.

The final will take place on Tuesday, March 21st, at the Aore Nagaoka Arena, Niigata. The winner gets an IWGP World Heavyweight Championship match against current holder Kazuchika Okada on April 8th at Sakura Genesis in Tokyo.
