Paul London will be inducted into the Indie Wrestling Hall of Fame next weekend.
GCW and Orange Crush announced that London will join the class that includes Christopher Daniels, Cheerleader Melissa, Jimmy Jacobs, Michael Modest, and Excalibur.
London worked for Ring of Honor during its fancy, debuting one month after the promotion launched in 2002 and building a rapport with the audience, who would frequently chant, “Please Don’t Die” at London.
He challenged Samoa Joe for the ROH Championship in his final match with the promotion after signing with WWE.
London was a member of the SmackDown roster where won a version of the tag titles with Billy Kidman and twice with Brian Kendrick. In May 2006, London & Kendrick won the belts from MNM and held them for nearly a year before dropping them to Deuce & Domino.
The pair were drafted to Raw shortly after the title loss and they teamed for one more year before they split up in the following year’s draft.
London was released from his contract in November 2008.
His career continued on the independent level and was involved with Lucha Underground as the leader of the Rabbit Tribe.
After 2018, he stopped wrestling but returned last year for a match in California and worked matches earlier this year with 3LW in Pennsylvania and AIW in Ohio.
It has not been revealed who London’s inductor will be for the Hall of Fame, which takes place on 4/2 at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles and streams on Fite+ at 3 p.m. ET.
