Major League Wrestling announced on Saturday that the War Chamber match between Davey Boy Smith Jr and Calvin Tankman will now be an Opera Cup tournament bout.
Smith is a former winner of the tournament, having lifted the trophy in 2019.
MLW War Chamber is scheduled for April 6th at the Melrose Ballroom in New York City.
Court Bauer, MLW’s CEO, commented:
Once the Opera Cup was announced, DBS asked to be considered for it and given he was the 2019 winner, converting this already big hoss fight into a stage 1 match was a no-brainer.
