Former NXT UK wrestler Eddie Dennis announced his retirement at the age of 36.
Dennis was a mainstay on the U.K. scene as it was expanding throughout the 2010s with time spent at Attack! Pro Wrestling, Revolution Pro, and during the growth years of Progress Wrestling before joining the WWE with its expansion into the European market with NXT UK.
In Progress, he formed a team with Mark Andrews and became its first set of tag champions in March 2014 and held them for the rest of the calendar year, dropping them the following January.

Dennis became the first Attack! Pro champion in November 2016 and held the title for just over three months. He had his second and final reign with the title two years later when he beat Wild Boar and dropped it for the final time to Damian Dunne in December 2018.
Dennis first wrestled for NXT UK in late 2018 and got a spot on the NXT UK TakeOver card in Blackpool in January 2019, losing a No DQ match to Dave Mastiff. He wrestled for the brand over the next year including a match with Trent Seven at the TakeOver Blackpool card in January 2020 while still working independent dates.
Dennis became the Progress champion in September 2019 but a shoulder injury ended his title reign after four months and he was forced to vacate the belt right before the pandemic.
Dennis’ last match with NXT UK was last July against Chase U at the BT Sports Studios and he was one of many that were released the following month when WWE put a pause on the brand and announced future plans for “NXT Europe”.
Since his release, he has wrestled for various independents including matches with Will Ospreay and Michael Oku for Rev Pro.
His final match was the Revolution Rumble this past weekend, which was won by Oku and where Dennis announced his retirement by leaving his boots inside the ring.
