His first match back is scheduled to take place today.

Since the fall of 2021, Kota Ibushi has been out of action and he is scheduled to make his in-ring return today as a part of Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport 9 against ‘Speedball’ Mike Bailey. Ibushi will also be taking on Joey Janela at Spring Break.

He took to social media and shared that he was training and reinjured his shoulder which has kept him out of action for this period of time.

In late January, Ibushi’s contract with New Japan Pro-Wrestling expired. He is the inaugural IWGP World Heavyweight Champion for the company.
