Bayley says facing Mercedes Moné at WrestleMania is a dream match for her, will wait for Moné

Bayley further expands on her friendship with Mercedes Moné and looks back on their NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn bout

She wants to show Moné that things are fine where she’s at.

Over the last several months, Bayley has been present for Mercedes Moné’s arrival to New Japan Pro-Wrestling at Wrestle Kingdom 17 and her IWGP Women’s Championship win in February.

Moné’s name was brought up on a handful of occasions as Bayley was guest appearing on The Masked Man Show. She stated that having a singles match with Moné is a dream match of hers.

She went on to add that if she continues to help make things better at WWE, Moné might catch wind of that. Bayley said she will wait for her former tag partner so they can make that aforementioned dream match happen.

Selfishly, that’s my dream Mania matches. One of my dream Mania matches was against Lita and I’m going to get to do that this week so, a singles match with Mercedes (Moné) at Mania (has) always been the dream and I think, you know, if I keep doing good here, if I keep making things better, making some changes that needs to be changed and make this match special, she’s a huge fan of moments, like real moments — obviously, she has so many — can show her we could do that and we could do that at Mania. I just want her to see that, you know, that things are good. Just one more time. I’ll wait for you. You wanna wait a few years? That’s fine. I’ll wait for you.

Looking back at their singles match from NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn 2015, Bayley said at the time, she did not know the impact the match would have.

As far as Sasha (Banks) and I in (TakeOver) Brooklyn, what we’re doing right now, I didn’t think it was gonna change everything or make this big impact, as big of an impact as it did, which I’m so blessed for.

On night one of WrestleMania 39, Damage CTRL (Bayley, Dakota Kai & IYO SKY) are taking on Trish Stratus and WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Lita and Becky Lynch.
