Shane McMahon returns at WrestleMania, appears to suffer injury

Shane McMahon made a surprise return at WrestleMania Sunday for an impromptu match with The Miz, only to suffer an apparent injury.

McMahon appeared after co-hosts Snoop Dogg and The Miz argued in the ring. Snoop then brought out Shane to face The Miz in a match.

Shortly after the bell rang, Shane suddenly fell to the mat, apparently injuring his leg after landing a leapfrog. The referee and a trainer checked on him before rolling him out of the ring.

Snoop stepped in and hit Miz with a right hand. The 51-year-old then executed a People’s Elbow for the win.

It is not known whether Snoop improvised after a genuine injury to McMahon, or whether the entire segment was planned. However, WWE was quick to post a shout-out to The Rock.
