Among those that took the stage at WrestleMania 39 were the Divas of Compton.

For the third consecutive WrestleMania, Bianca Belair scored a victory. On night two of this year’s show, she bested Asuka to retain the Raw Women’s Championship

Belair’s WrestleMania 39 entrance included a performance from the Divas of Compton dance team. There is a piece that FOX 11 Los Angeles published about their collaboration with WWE for Belair’s entrance.

The Divas of Compton Director, Keli Berry, told the outlet that she was shocked they were chosen. She is thankful to Bianca and WWE and went on to describe how emotional some of the children were.

Berry: It’s almost shocking that we would be chosen, so we’re humble and full of gratitude. I’m so thankful for the WWE, and Bianca Belair for allowing that vision to come together for these girls in this community to get their names said in over 180 countries, in front of 80,000 people. Thank you God.

Our girls, let me tell you, some of them were crying. They were so incredibly excited. We were crying backstage.

At the post-show press conference, WWE Chief Content Officer Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque stated that the contortionist who danced side-by-side with Belair lost her mother that same day.

It was clarified in the FOX 11 piece that Aminah lost her mother in 2022. Before the performance at WrestleMania, she broke down and became emotional. Keli Berry recalled Aminah saying that she wanted her mother but was able to muster up the willpower to perform.

Berry: Right when they were getting ready to go out to perform, Aminah was like, ‘My head hurts,’ and then she said, ‘My elbow hurts,’ and I knew something was wrong. I was like, ‘Aminah, what’s wrong?’ And she breaks down and starts crying, and I pick her up and walk away from the group and I said, ‘Your angels are in heaven,’ and she said, ‘I want my mom.’

The people are backstage, and they said line up, and I’m still holding her and I said, ‘I gotta put you down.’

The outlet did get a comment from Aminah and she shared the positive words that the Raw Women’s Champion gave her.

Aminah: Bianca Belair told me that I’m gonna be a star soon and I actually did it.

The Divas of Compton Director’s goal is to develop a campus for the 200 kids in the program. Their donation link can be found here.
